1).The team ‘Cool Devils’ of ldcu has undertaken the project – ‘AYAMIK’.
Under this project, the Cool Devils team is working for uplifting the lives of the under-privileged people living around IIM.
Through this project the team came across a school called ‘Savera’ which is run by the NGO Vidya Bharti. The school Savera provides free education to the children in the above mentioned area everyday from 5 to 7 in the evening.The team thinks that it is crucial that these kids take their education seriously and they have planned activities and events that can help achieve the same and in the end help these kids to lead better lives.
The activities that have been done in association with Savera so far:
1. The team members interacted with the kids and got to know them better.
2. Played interactive games with them which were fun as well as educational.
3. Involved them in activities like singing, dancing and performing skit.
4. Taught them to write, read and pronounce small words like their own names.
2). The team "chatur panchhis" have 2 projects on their hands..one is the slum near azad society and the 2nd is the "remand home" at khanpur.
the team members have unndertaken these 2 projects with a single motto of "giving a better childhood" to these kids.the members visit these projects twice in a week for each of the projects..they play fun filled games with these kids and also give them skill based education. the members also give a chance to these kids to enjoy and learn the fascinating world of computers..by teaching them various basic applications of computers..also,the members bond with the kids through various interactive activities like dancing,singing etc..
3). The team "fungineers" have undertaken a project of teaching the kids at "shvaas".
the team members visit "shvaas" twice a week and make sure that the kids get their basic education in a very fun-filled way. the kids are taught the basics of every subject..ranging right from alphabets,numbers and spellings to multiplication tables, math sums and one line sentences in english.
the kids too enjoy the company of the ldcu team members and are quite eager to learn various things from us and create a bright future for themselves..
