Savera Project With New Recruits...

The new recruits at ldcu had their first experience to kindness acts at savera..an ongoing project of ldcu..
The members had planned a cricket match with the kids at savera and also various other fun filled activities.. the members were very enthusiastic about their interaction with those kids and bonded so well with them in no time..
The session started with the new recruits playing cricket with those kids…the members found a unique way of making those kids learn their alphabets and numbers.. a game of “passing the parcel” was played by those kids…and each kid had to recite a song or alphabets or count numbers as a part of the game…
The next activity done was as music filled as it was fun filled…everything that was done during this activity had to be done through music…whether learning alphabets or even clapping…it was all to be done with a tune.. also, the kids had their fill of singing, dancing and even playing “garba”…through this activity..
And this  session was concluded by the new recruits giving  a practical session on personal hygiene to the kids..the members got a tub…filled it with water and let each kid demonstrate how  one should wash hands before and after meals, after going to home and after returning from school or work…this way, the kids learnt a valuable lesson on personal hygiene on their own..
This session at savera  really turned out to be one of a kind experience for the new recruits..and  they are now even more eager to bring about the change, that  they always wanted to see around them…

“My experience at savera was indeed good…it was really nice to know that I’d also be playing a part in carving out the future of those kids by teaching them the basics like alphabets and numbers.. and it was nice to know that the kids there are always so eager to learn new things..”
-Devansh Shah (1st sem environment)
